DramaLingo抓马邻国

Terms of Service

You are using DramaLingo to learn Japanese by watching short dramas. Here are the rules: what we provide, how you may use it, and who carries what when something goes wrong.

Last updated:September 2026

1. What these terms cover

These terms apply to the DramaLingo app, the web app, and this site (dramalingo.ai). Using any of them means you accept these terms. If you do not accept them, do not use the service.

When the terms change we update the date at the top of this page. Material changes are announced once inside the app.

2. The service

DramaLingo teaches Japanese through AI-made vertical mini-dramas. Tap a word in the caption, the end card explains it, and the clip replays on a spaced-repetition schedule.

The service is in open beta. Features, content, and interfaces may change or be interrupted at any time. We do not promise continuous availability.

3. Accounts

No signup is needed to start: you get an anonymous session, and your progress is kept on that session.

You may sign in with an email address at any time to carry that progress over. Email is used for sign-in and necessary notices only, never for marketing.

Your account is yours. Do not share it. Anything done through your account counts as done by you.

4. How you may use it

  • Personal learning: watch, study, and share clips with friends.
  • Do not scrape in bulk, reverse-engineer the API, bypass rate limits, or repackage the content as another product.
  • Do not use the service for anything unlawful, and do not interfere with the service or with other people using it.

5. Content and rights

Clips, voice-overs, posters, word entries, and example sentences are made or licensed by us. You get a non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to use them for your own learning.

The dramas are AI-generated. Characters and events are fictional and bear no relation to real people or organisations.

Your learning data (words learned, review history) is yours, and you can delete it at any time.

6. Beta disclaimer

The service is provided as is. We try to keep the content correct, but Japanese meanings, examples, and translations may contain errors, and none of it is a guarantee for exams, study abroad, or work.

To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect losses arising from use of, or inability to use, the service.

7. Ending and deleting

You can delete your account any time under Settings → Delete account in the app. Words, poster shelf, and memory progress are erased with it. This cannot be undone.

We may suspend or end your account if you seriously breach these terms.

8. Governing law

Governing law and venue are still to be decided (see the draft note at the top of this page). Until then, disputes should first be settled by discussion.
